 Lake Metroparks supports recycling! Lake Metroparks collaborates with other county agencies to collectively increase the amount of materials currently recycled in our community to equal previous levels, and then surpass that to set new records for materials recycled within Lake County.

Acceptable – oil/enamel/etc paints, paint products, aerosols, automotive
fuels, motor oil, grease, household batteries, lead acid batteries, propane tanks, drive sealers, tars, adhesives, fire extinguishers, kerosene, gasoline, diesel fuel, fluorescent bulbs, mercury, pesticides (liquid, powder, granular), cleaners (acids/bases/oxidizers), reactives.
Unacceptable – water base paints, explosives, ammunition, medical wastes, radioactive wastes.
The Lake County Solid Waste District, the Lake County Commissioners, and the Lake County Department of Utilities provide these "special recycling collections." These collections are for Lake County residents only. For more information call (440) 350-2750 or (440) 350-2582.
