Shelter reservations for 2016 are now open

or in person weekdays 8 am to 4:30 pm at the Registration Department at 11211 Spear Rd., Concord Twp.

Shelter amenities

 

All shelters provide picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and other amenities and are great for family reunions or other special gatherings. Some of the shelters include power, nearby trails, playground equipment, and volleyball courts for additional fun.

 

How to reserve a shelter

Deposits, rental fees and payments

  • Picnic shelters
    • A refundable deposit is required to reserve a picnic shelter (pending no damage to the shelter).
      • Lake County residents: $50
      • Customers living outside Lake County: $50 refundable deposit and a $25 rental fee
    • Reservations and payment:
      • Reserve and pay online, by phone (440-358-7275), or in person at (or mail to)
        Lake Metroparks Registration Department, 11211 Spear Road, Concord Township, Ohio 44077.
  • Lake Erie Bluffs shelter
    • A refundable deposit is required to reserve the shelter (pending no damage to the facility).
      • $100 without alcohol
      • $300 with alcohol
    • Rental fee
      • $100 – Lake County residents
      • $150 – Out-of-county visitors
    • Reservations and payment
      • Individuals or groups: Reserve and pay by phone (440-358-7275) or in person at
        Lake Metroparks Registration Department, 11211 Spear Road, Concord Township, Ohio 44077.
      • Weddings and corporate events: Call 440-639-7275 x1913.

Located on Reeves Road in Eastlake. The shelter capacity is 75. Shelter has electricity.
Park offers flush type restrooms, a playground, sand volleyball court, hiking trails, fishing in the Chagrin River and a recreational field. Flush type restrooms.

Located on Hobart Road in Kirtland. The shelter capacity is 75. Shelter has fireplace and electricity.
Park offers flush type restrooms, a playground, recreational field, volleyball, hiking trails, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ski and snowshoe rental and pond fishing.

Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park - East Shelter

Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park (East Shelter)

Between Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, the shelter is available to reserve on weekends only.

Located at 301 Huntington Beach Dr. in Fairport Harbor. The capacity of this shelter is 50. No electricity. The shelter is located on the beach with a sandy base.Park offers flush type restrooms, a volleyball court, fire ring, restrooms and a guarded swim area nearby. (summer season only, weather permitting).

Located on Radcliffe Road in Concord Twp. The shelter and surrounding area can accommodate up to 75 people. Shelter has electricity.

Lake Erie Bluffs

Located on Lane Road in Perry Twp., on the shores of Lake Erie. The year-round shelter capacity is 74. Shelter has fireplace and electricity.

 

Park offers flush type restrooms, picnic tables, hiking trails, three scenic overlooks, reservable tent campsite and access to the Lake Erie shoreline.

Penitentiary Glen Reservation
Located on Kirtland-Chardon Road in Kirtland. The shelter capacity is 75. Shelter has electricity.

Park offers accessible facilities, flush type restrooms (open Nature Center hours), picnic area with grills, All People's Trail, drinking water, restrooms, hiking trails, cross-country skiing, Nature Center, the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center, The Nature Store gift shop and a bridle trail.

This park offers flush type restrooms, playground, softball fields (reservations required) and beautiful views of Lake Erie.
