Maddest Hat Contest

Lake Metoparks' Grand River Canoe and Kayak Race Maddest Hat ContestAre you mad?
(All racers qualify!)

Design a hat (or some sort of river-worthy headgear) and wear it April 24. The “maddest hat” wins a prize!  The more creative, the better – just go crazy!  Hats must be worn during the race and fit under bridges (clearance approx. 140 ft.).   GOOD LUCK!

371 racers floated down the mighty Grand River in the 20th annual Grand River Canoe and Kayak Race hosted by Lake Metroparks. The race features a Maddest Hat contest where contestants don the most unusual head attire and have to attempt to wear it the entire race. Click here for additional photos.
