Quilts 2008 features works from internationally acclaimed featured visiting artists known for their works, writings, and workshops and each will lead a workshop for a week at Farmpark in their noted discipline.
Vikki Pignatelli of Columbus, OH
- Specialty: Vikki has turned her passion for intense colors and flowing design into national award winning quilts.A full-time quilt artist, author, teacher and lecturer, she has developed a layering technique for piecing curves.
- Presenting: Scrap The Pattern – Improvisational Curves, Color & Design, Improvisational Manipulations and Openings (in your quilt), and Twice the Threads, Twice the Fun, workshops
- Workshop dates: February 19 - 24
Mary Sorensen of Longwood, FL
- Specialty: Traditional fine hand appliqué done from original patterns, Mary’s distinctive design style is characterized by elegant, formal lines, complex layering of small pieces, and an emphasis on using a myriad of fabrics to create visual texture and excitement.
- Presenting: Learn to Love Needleturn, Buzzin’Around: Advanced Hand Appliqué Techniques, Christmas Chickadees, Dramatic Darks, and Easy, Breezy Appliqué workshops

Quilting workshops and lectures are offered to heighten an appreciation for the art of quilting throughout Quilts 2008. Workshops led by featured and regional quilt artists offer people of all ages and quilting abilities a chance to discover and improve on a wide variety of quilting techniques.
