The Super Star Party is an annual astronomy night that features many indoor and outdoor activities for stargazers ages 8 and older.

Activities
 Come and discover how light pollution effects people and wildlife.
- Watch the Perseid Meteor Shower
- View the majestic display of the summer night sky above our park.
- View planets
and other stellar objects with telescopes and expert guidance provided by the Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society.
- Members from CVAS will lead a discussion on how to use a telescope.
- Take a naturalist-led night hike.
- The Lake Shore Live Steamers will be offering a “ Red Light Express Train Ride” on miniature steam engines (weather permitting).
- The Wildlife Center yard will be open featuring the program “ Give a Hoot, Don’t Light Pollute ”.
There will also be a Wildlife Specialist available to introduce visitors to residents and answer questions.
- Have fun with star activities and games.
- Step inside the indoor inflatable planetarium STARLAB and explore backyard astronomy.
- Find astronomical gifts at the Nature Store.
- Food available for purchase onsite
Advanced-registration is required to attend the Super Star Party.
This program is designed for ages 8 and older
Registration fee is $4
All participants will receive a glow necklace. Program runs rain or shine.

Take I-90 to Rt. 306 south for about one mile. Turn left onto Rt. 615. Turn right (east) onto Kirtland-Chardon Road and continue for two miles. Penitentiary Glen Reservation is located on the right (south) side of the road.
