Tinkers Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook and Little Overlook
Located off Gorge Parkway, between Dunham and Egbert roads
in Bedford Reservation, Cuyahoga County
Enjoy the breathtaking autumn view from the overlook of Tinkers Creek Gorge, a national natural landmark. Little Overlook also offers spectacular views of beautiful Tinkers Creek Gorge, a quarter-mile west of Egbert Picnic Area in Bedford Reservation. Map
Rocky River Reservation, Fort Hill - Cedar Point
Rocky River Nature Center is located at 24000 Valley Parkway, north of Cedar Point Road
in North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County
Enjoy a marvelous vista of the East and West branch confluence of the Rocky River at Fort Hill, directly behind the Rocky River Nature Center. Map

Brandywine Falls & Brandywine Gorge Trail
Located on Brandywine Road, between Highland and Twinsburg roads in Sagamore Hills, CVNP
Brandywine Falls and the1.5-mile Brandywine Gorge Trail are great places to observe autumn colors at their peak, typically during the first two weeks in October. Map
Oak Hill Trail
Located on Oak Hill Road, 1.3 miles south of Major Road in Peninsula, CVNP
The 1.5-mile trail is abundant with fall color, typically during the last week in September when autumn colors are highlighted with the magnificent reds of the red maple and striking yellows of the white ash and big-tooth aspen. Map

Big Creek Park
Located at 9160 Robinson Road in Chardon, Geauga County
This 642-acre park with mature forests bursts with a myriad of colors in the fall months. People of all abilities can enjoy a great diversity of hiking experiences, from a fully accessible trail loop to a rugged trek through the river valley of Big Creek. Map
Headwaters Park
Located at 13365 Old State Road (Route 608), Claridon & Huntsburg townships, Geauga County
A 926-acre park that offers up fall colors by way of beech-maple forests reflected in the shimmering waters of the East Branch Reservoir. Autumn can be enjoyed by land or by water. Map

Chagrin River Park
Located at 3100 Reeves Road in Willoughby, Lake County
The fairly level, gravel-surfaced trails of the 237-acre Chagrin River Park meander along wooded banks of the Chagrin River, wind through old fields and second growth forest and along wetland areas. Park land on the east and west bank of the Chagrin River are linked by a pedestrian bridge. Access is provided to more than 2.83 miles of trails. Map
Penitentiary Glen Reservation
Located at 8668 Kirtland-Chardon Road in Kirtland, Lake County
This beautiful nature preserve features 424 acres of forest, fields, wetlands, and over 7.5 miles of hiking trails The trails lead along the cool, shaded hemlock ridge of a deep gorge and through old field habitats and a mature hardwood forest. Several wetlands attract waterfowl, migratory birds, frogs and salamanders. The terrain is generally flat with some steep hills. Map

Vermillion River Reservation
Located four miles south of the city of Vermilion, Lorain County
Known to most as Mill Hollow, viewing of fall color can take place anywhere within the park, but is best from vantage points that incorporate the river and its associated shale cliffs and hillsides. Map
Black River Reservation
The reservation bridges the cities of Lorain and Elyria, people with nature, and the Black River itself! The fall color in this park is spectacular throughout, but exceptionally so from the middle of this 'across and back' bridge. Map

Cascade Valley Metro Park / Overlook Trail

This 0.5-mile, universally-accessible trail offers spectacular autumn views of the Cuyahoga River Valley. After your visit, check out the nearby Signal Tree, a large, unusually formed Bur Oak that was reportedly shaped by Native Americans. Map
Sand Run Metro Park / Jogging Trail & Sand Run Parkway

Walk or run 6 miles on our most popular trail, and drive through the ford on the scenic parkway. More than 14 miles of trails wind through this Metro Park - the most popular in Summit County. Map

Ohio & Erie Canalway, south of Navarre in Stark County
Location: Craig Pittman Park trailhead along the Ohio & Erie Canalway Byway, east of Rt. 62 on Canal Street in Navarre.
The southernmost section of the Ohio & Erie National Heritage Canalway in Stark County - from the Village of Navarre to Rt. 212 - is a flat, scenic 5.4-mile limestone trail meandering through oaks, silver maples, sycamore and sassafras trees with views of the Tuscarawas River. It's suitable for hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding. Map
Walborn Marina Loop Trail
Location: 11324 Price St. NE, Alliance 44601. NE corner of Stark County, NW of Alliance.
From I-77, take Rt. 619 east or Rt. 62 east to Rt. 183 north. Go west on Price Street.
Two miles of natural surface trails provide beautiful views of the 840-acre Walborn Reservoir that is surrounded by oak and hickory forests. This birdwatchers' paradise attracts eagles and ospreys, as well as migrating waterfowl and a variety of songbirds. Map
