Quilts 2012 features works from internationally acclaimed featured visiting artists known for their works, writings, and workshops.
Cynthia England of Dickinson, Texas
Cynthia’s stunning quilts have been winning local
and national quilting events since 1991 and have
graced the pages of many quilting publications. Her
most recognized quilt, Piece and Quiet, was chosen
as one of the “The 20th Century’s Best American
Quilts” in 2000. Cynthia has also won Best of Show
twice at the IQA show at the International Quilt
Festival in Houston for Piece and Quiet in 1993 and
Open Season in 2000.
After leaving her career in the educational field to
become a homemaker, Joen became interested in
quilting and textile art. During a span of 15 years,
she created traditional quilts and commissioned
textile art for private clients and corporations
throughout the world. Joen has taught throughout the
United States, England, Ireland, Scotland, Canada,
Germany, Holland, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand
and South Africa. Workshop dates: March 13 - 18

Workshops
Quilting workshops and lectures are offered to heighten an appreciation for the art of quilting throughout Quilts 2012. Workshops led by featured and regional quilt artists offer people of all ages and quilting abilities a chance to discover and improve on a wide variety of quilting techniques.

class: pattern, fabric, borders and binding. Batting and backing are not included.

Enjoy demonstrations and shopping at quilt vendor booths. Find unique shopping opportunities with variety of different quilt shops gather together under one roof to sell their wares of quilting products and supplies. Each shop is unique in style with fabrics and workshop classes.
Shops vary by fabrics and very traditional styles, techniques or product line of sewing equipment. Bringing these shops together is a popular way to broaden the quilting experience. Informational demonstrations are provided by representatives from each shop.
