Quilts 2013 -- What you will see
Undeniably one of Ohio’s finest quilt shows, Quilts 2013 features more than 200 quilted works on display throughout the Farmpark Visitors Center. This breathtaking show features works from internationally acclaimed featured visiting artists known for their works, writings, and workshops. A judged show completes the event with beautiful quilted work by regional artists from Northeast Ohio
and around the United States.
Now in its 22nd year, the exhibit showcases a variety of works including traditional bed quilts, contemporary wall art and apparel.
Embrace the color and warmth of this annual exhibit while admiring quilters’ handiwork. At Quilts 2013, the story behind each quilt, along with the quilter’s name and judging information are also displayed. As you explore the gorgeous works on display, be sure to vote for your favorite entries to receive the People’s Choice award!
Enjoy demonstrations and shopping during Quilt Vendor Days this year is March 1 through 3. Find unique shopping opportunities with a variety of different quilt shops gathered together under one roof.

Cindy Casciato is a teacher, designer, author and quilter
with 28 years of experience teaching quilting and related
topics to numerous guilds and organizations. She has
three quilt publications: Block Explosion, One Stitch
Quilting and Stash with Splash.

her own line of Magic Triangle patterns printed under her
label entitled Threads of Friendship.
She is the founder of the very successful Quilt Escape, a
quilters retreat held every year since 1994, and has been
able to reach thousands of other quilters and keep the
circle of friendship growing.

Wendy is a published, award-winning quilt artist and teacher who found her passion for quilting in 1993. Since 1997, she has taught and lectured about the art of quilting at conferences, guilds and retreats across the country. Her work regularly appears in juried shows and galleries as well as in private collections nationally and internationally. Wendy’s original art quilts are noted for their bold use of color, unusual fabrics and a combination of unconventional techniques.
Enthusiastic, encouraging, entertaining and knowledgeable describe Wendy as a teacher and lecturer. Common threads found in her work and classes are strong use of color, twisting the traditional to focus on original design, an unabashed free-motion quilting style and the versatility to work with a wide range of quilting techniques and student abilities. Her creative passion and energetic teaching style encourages and inspires students and keeps them coming back for more.

Quilting workshops and lectures are offered to heighten an appreciation for the art of quilting throughout Quilts 2013. Workshops led by featured and regional quilt artists offer people of all ages and quilting abilities a chance to discover and improve on a wide variety of quilting techniques.

Admission includes all of Farmpark attractions including wagon rides, cow milking, watching piglets, baby goats and baby lambs at play in the arena, and more. Learn about plant life in the Great Tomato Works. Learn how maple syrup is made at the Woodland Center (February 23, 24, March 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17). Check out the gift shop and find a wide variety of gift ideas including Farmpark’s very own maple syrup and honey. Stop in the J & J Cafe for lunch, coffee, or a quick bite to eat.
