Lake Metroparks invites you to comment on Phase III construction of the Lakefront Trail Project: a ten-foot-wide multi-use asphalt path along the Lake Erie shoreline.
Phase I of the trail was completed in 2024, running 2,300 feet west from the boundary of Painesville Township Park, where the trail can be accessed. Phase II, completed in 2025, further extends the trail an additional 800 feet. Phase III will begin at the endpoint of Phase II then continue west along the shoreline for a little over a mile.
Comments should be submitted by February 18, 2026, to be documented in the Public Input Summary Report.
