Donation Requests

Inquiries should be submitted in writing at least 60 days prior to event date to:

The following information must be included on the organization’s letterhead:

• Organization name, description/purpose and IRS 501c3 tax identification number
• Date of event
• Description and purpose of event, expected number of attendees and who will benefit from proceeds raised
• Description of intended use for donations in your event
• Mailing address to which the donation should be sent
• Contact person’s name, daytime phone number, email address and mailing address

A response will be issued within 15 business days upon receipt of each complete request; incomplete requests will not be considered. Please do not call to request a donation or to inquire about the status of a donation request. An organization with multiple fundraisers within the calendar year may submit additional request(s) for consideration. Priority is given to Lake County (Ohio) organizations and events/organizations that support/align with the mission and purpose of Lake Metroparks.

Special Requests/In-Kind Services

Requests for items or services beyond the standard pass donation package may be considered by the Executive Director and/or Board of Park Commissioners. A letter of request specifying the specific item/service requested should be submitted via the same procedure detailed above.
