Resource Center

The Resource Center cabin is adjacent to the picturesque 152-acre Hidden Valley Park. Campers will enjoy a 0.5-mile hiking trail with scenic views of Hidden Valley and the Grand River Valley, a two-acre fishing pond/wetland and a great campfire area. The cabin is located a short walk from the Hidden Valley Park North entrance and a short drive to the Hidden Valley Park South entrance.

The cabin offers:

• Two bedrooms, each with two sets of bunk beds.
• A living room with woodburning fireplace and sofas.
• A kitchen with stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave and sink. Minimal cooking equipment.
• Dining room with table and chairs. Place settings for eight.
• A bathroom with toilet, sink and shower over tub.
• Heat by forced air furnace.
• One window air conditioning unit.
• Hiking trails and wetland/pond for fishing within walking distance.
• Hidden Valley and Hogback Ridge parks within five-minute drive.
• Picnic tables, grill and fire ring.
• Bottled drinking water.
• Television with cable.
• Campers bring their own linens and towels.

Cabin Fees for Lake County Residents

2024 Rates:

• $100 refundable deposit
• $95 rental fee per night week night (Monday-Friday)
• $105 rental fee per night weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• $575 rental fee per week (seven nights)
• Two-night minimum up to one-week maximum stay

Reservation Procedure & Information

Cabin reservations for Lake County residents are accepted for both cabins not more than 180 days in advance. For out-of-county residents, reservations are accepted not more than 150 days in advance. Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance.

To reserve a cabin, a $100 refundable deposit and the rental fee are due at the time the reservation is made.

Cabin keys may be picked up at the Registration Department after 3 pm the day of the rental. Keys must be returned to the appropriate facility within two business days following the rental. The security deposit will be refunded within ten days after the return of the keys and inspection of the cabin.

The Registration Department accepts reservations 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday in person at 11211 Spear Road, Concord Township, Ohio 44077 or by phone at 440-358-7275 or 800-669-9226.

Facility Reservation Refund Policy

Cancellation of a facility reservation within 30 days will result in loss of 50% of total fees. The security deposit is refundable. Cancellation of a wedding package is handled under separate policies and procedures. Contact the Registration Department for details.

Cabin Rules & Regulations

Thank you for choosing a Lake Metroparks cabin for your camping experience. To ensure both a quality and safe experience, please review the following rules and regulations:

• Maximum sleeping capacity in each cabin is eight.
• Site capacity is 16 during non-sleeping hours.
• Noise curfew is 10 p.m. Guests must remain within 150 feet of camping area after 11 p.m.
• The renter (responsible party) must be 21 or older.
• Gate should remain closed, but not locked, at all times the cabin is being used.
• Fires permitted only in fireplace, grill, and fire ring. A limited amount of firewood may be supplied if available.
• Fishing is permitted at the adjacent ponds/wetlands for cabin guests only. Size and bag limits are posted. No weapons or hunting allowed.
• Swimming is not permitted.
• Alcohol is permitted within cabin only.
• No smoking inside cabin.
• Clean-up consists of garbage bagged, tied and left outside in appropriate receptacle. All floors swept with the broom and dustpan provided. Spills cleaned if necessary. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom areas wiped down. All signs, decorations and tape must be completely removed. No pins, tacks or holes in the walls.
• Supplies available at each cabin include mop, bucket, broom and garbage bags.
• Extinguish all fires indoors and outdoors prior to departure.
