Rate: $11.00/hr. starting rate based on prior experience/education.

A part-time position at our Farmpark in Kirtland, OH. Under supervision of Interpretation/Education Manager, the Farmpark Interpreter carries out appropriate interpretive activities for the general public and in the coordination with programs and events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; presenting various plant & animal programs to public visitors, conducting education programs for groups, and maintaining areas as assigned including care for farm animals & gardens.
Ability to speak in a clear, concise manner. Able to work with people in a pleasant, enthusiastic and appropriate manner. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be outgoing, flexible, and organized. Ability to work with animal livestock, prior experience preferred. Available to work weekdays, weekends and some holidays as required. Position is for a minimum of 28 hours/week. Valid Ohio driver’s license and must be insurable by Lake Metroparks’ policy. Background check is required.
