Wetlands

  • Posted September 21, 2020

Wetlands play a crucial role in the natural world; filtering out toxins from the environment, preventing flooding, and providing habitat for countless animals and plants are just a few of them.

Wetlands are threatened around the world. Ohio has lost 90 percent of its wetlands over the past 200 years. These natural habitats will never truly be replaced, so it is important that the ones remaining be preserved. Work is being done to rebuild some that have been lost. Explore a wetland in this video and see what lies within these natural wonders.
