Lake Metroparks is excited to announce a new set of sensory sensitive programs for children. These new programs for ages 3 to 6 and 7 to 10 focus on our community of younger children with disabilities.
Children benefit tremendously from a social story that details in pictures who will teach the program, where the program will take place, activities that will take place, and what they will learn during the program. This story along with a detailed schedule will be emailed to parents or guardians prior to the program. Activities are modified to fit the needs and skills of students with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities.
Fall and winter programs include:
Alphabet Adventures: “F” is for Fall: Learning the alphabet can be fun through reading, crafting and adventuring! Come learn and have fun at the same time!
