Ohio Learning Standards/STEM integrated programs
Lake Metroparks’ education programs align to the newest Ohio Learning Standards (including Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and English Language Arts, Ohio Revised Science Standards and Model Curriculum, Ohio Revised Standards in Social Studies and Ohio’s Academic Content Standards in Physical Education).
Our programs focus on inquiry-based science and emphasize critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Lake Metroparks offers many programs specifically designed with STEM and/or STEAM in mind. Students use Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics to study nature and the world around them. A problem-solving approach is used for students to investigate environmental concepts, issues and current problems. Each grade has a different topic to fit your students’ needs.
