Popular for its sledding hill, Riverview Park is situated along the Wild and Scenic Grand River.
Riverview Park offers the easy 0.39-mile Big Oak Loop trail that follows the ridge above the river through a mixed forest of hardwood and hemlock trees and the steep 0.38-mile River Bottom trail that takes visitors down into the river floodplain. A primitive riverside campsite is available for reservation. The park also offers the steepest, most thrilling sledding hill available in the park district. The sledding hill is located next to the parking lot. A fire ring is located near the picnic shelter; in the winter as available, firewood may be provided as staff schedules permit.
To protect the health of anyone who eats Ohio-caught fish, an annual advisory for how often these fish can be safely eaten is prepared by the Ohio Department of Health in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
